Career
Carleton played in the National Hockey League (National Hockey League) and the World Hockey Association (WHA) in the 1960s and 1970s. Carleton played junior hockey for the Toronto Marlboros. Carleton started his National Hockey League career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He would also play with the Boston Bruins and California Golden Seals.
His career would last from 1966 to 1972. He was traded to California two seasons later.
After one year with California, he moved over to the WHA and played for the Ottawa Nationals, Toronto Toros, Edmonton Oilers, Birmingham Bulls, and New England Whalers.
