Career
He is known to be the first ever Arab driver to race in a single-seater World Championship. He raced for First Rate (at Lloyd's) Team Lebanon in the series from 2005-2006 until 2007-2008. Since 2010 he became a highly regarded Formula 1 Pundit and Motorsport personality on television in the Arab world.
He joined Abu Dhabi Sports Channel as a Formula 1 pundit from 2010 till 2014.
In 2014 he signed an exclusive contract with beIN Sports Channel as a Formula 1 pundit & commentator to cover the sport in Middle East and North Africa. Since he started commentating on the Formula 1 races in 2014 he is leaving his mark in this field and becoming a leading Arab F1 commentator.
He also owns a Motorsport Management company helping young drivers in their racing careers and leading many Motorsport projects in Middle East. Beschir began racing in 1998 when he went into karting.
In 2004 he competed in three race of the Formula Renault 1.6 Belgium.
His best finish was 6th at Spa-Francorchamps after starting 32nd on the grid. In 2005 he completed one round of the Italian Formula Three Championship, finishing 11th at Adria. He also finished 13th in the 3000 Pro Series but competed only in five events, with his best finish being 5th starting from 15th in Germany.
In late 2005, Beschir began competing in the series.
In the inaugural A1GP feature race at Brands Hatch while he was 7th overall, his car rolled at Paddock Hill Bend after making contact with First Rate (at Lloyd's) Team Italy"s Enrico Toccacelo. His best finish in the series was 8th at Durban in 2008.
