She did her schooling from Louisiana Martiniere Calcutta. After she started modeling at the age 15, she shifted her base to Mumbai, India. She has done a host of songs and ad films for Thumsup, Close-up, HCL Laptop, Wild Stone Deo et cetera
As a popular model, Kyra has been associated with brands such as Kingfisher and Mercedes.
She is now prepared for a switch in her career, from modelling into films. Kingfisher Calendar girl Kyra Dutt is all set for her Bollywood debut with two back to back releases in 2015.
Her first release will be Calendar Girls which is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by Mangal Murti Films. This will be followed by the film titled "XXX" directed by Ken Ghosh
She has also done an item number in 2014 Blockbuster film Race Gurram for song Boochade Boochade.
In 2012, Dutt sung and wrote a peace song for an initiative called De Paix Yatra to spread peace.
