As a junior Zovko reached as high as Number. 9 in the world rankings in 1998 (and Number 10 in doubles). Junior Slam results:

Pro tour
Early on in 2000 and 2001, Zovko reached the Umag final both years with Ivan Ljubičić.
In 2007, Lovro made the doubles finals of the Kremlin Cup (Moscow) event with Tomáš Cibulec before losing to Marat Safin and Dmitry Tursunov in the final, 6–4, 6–2.
En route, Cibulec and Zovko defeated second-seeded Lukáš Dlouhý and Pavel Vízner, the 2007 French Open and 2007 United States. Open finalists in the quarter-finals 6–2, 6–2. The team beat second seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in the semi-finals 7–6 (4), 4–6.
However, the duo was halted by French wildcards Sébastien Grosjean and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final, 6–4, 6–3. This also means that Zovko has reached two consecutive Association of Tennis Professionals doubles finals.
