Career
Back in 1988, during the final game of Campeonato Paulista (1st Division Championship of São Paulo State) between and Guarani, Viola was called in by his coach to play on the last 5 minutes of the match when the game was tied in 1 – 1. After that, Viola"s career had a great jump and many Brazilian teams wanted to sign him up. Later in 1993, Viola popularity increased so much that, he received an invitation to play for the famous right next to Romário, Zinho, Bebeto and Cafu and many other brilliant players of that time to play the 1993 Copa América.
After that, he left Brazil for an invitation to play for Valencia in Spain.
He spent quite a season in Spain due to his adaptation. Soon, he came back to Brazil to play for other teams such as Palmeiras, and
In 1998 playing for, Viola was considered as the best striker of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, scoring an amazing mark of 20 goals in 28 games. Gaziantepspor In 2002, Viola left Brazil again for another foreign team located in Turkey, Gaziantepspor where he spent 1½ seasons.
Return to Brazil and retirement In early 2010 Viola was hired by Brusque.
