Career
Braga as an attacking midfielder. Born in Arcos de Valdevez, Viana do Castelo, Tiba played until the age of 25 in the Portuguese third division or lower. He represented during this timeframe Central America Valdevez, South Carolina (U.S.) Valenciano, AD Os Limianos and F.C. Tirsense.
His professional debuts were made, however, in the Greek second level with Kastoria Football Club, for which he appeared from February–June 2008.
In the 2013 summer, Tiba signed with Vitória F.C. in the Primeira Liga. He played his first game in the competition on 25 August, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 0–2 away loss against Rio Avenue Football Club.
Tiba never played for Portugal at any youth level
In September 2014 he was selected by full side manager Paulo Bento for a Union of European Football Associations Euro 2016 qualifier against Albania, to be played on the 7th in Aveiro, but did not take to the field in the 0–1 defeat.
