Career
In 1934, Per Jonson set two hill records on Bloudkova velikanka in Planica at the international competition. First one was 78 meters lougitude At the second one he landed at 89 meters world record distance, however this record was set in unofficial training and was recognized only as a hill record.
In 1933, he was in Zakopane coaching Polish national ski jumping team
He shot a short film about skiing in Karpathos which impressed German director Leni Riefenstahl, that she hired him as assistant director for the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He has primarily worked as a cinematographer on Norwegian films, in addition to occasionally working as director and producer.
At the end of his career he established his own film production company.
