He was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels. Staggs appeared in 46 career games and started in his final 23 games played as a defensive back.
Pre-draft
On April 30, 2007, Staggs signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears from April 30, 2007 to August 27, 2007 after competing in the Bears 2007 Training Camp.
On January 12, 2008, Staggs signed a free agent contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League and was released in June. Staggs coached the junior varsity football team for Coronado High School, in Henderson, Nevada.
He was re-signed by the Alouettes on June 7, 2009, and released again on June 24, 2009. High school statistics
