Career
Born in Christiania, he took architectural education in Dresden. He first worked under Harald Hals and Arnstein Arneberg, but started on his own in 1919. In 1938 Dunker was hired as a manager at the Royal Palace, Oslo, retiring in 1962 after a lengthy building restoration that commenced in 1950.
