Born in Budapest, Hungary, Fuchs was Jewish, He reached the Olympics by placing third in a qualifying event. Olympics Fuchs gold medals in Individual and Team Sabre at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London and the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, where he was undefeated in both events. His overall Olympic record was 22 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw.
