In a professional career which spanned nearly twenty years and brought nearly 50 caps with the national team, he played in his country, Austria and Israel. Club
During his career, Brzęczek played for Raków Częstochowa, Olimpia Poznań, Lech Poznań, Górnik Zabrze (two spells), GKS Katowice, Football Club Tirol Innsbruck (later Football Club Wacker Tirol), LASK Linz, Maccabi Haifa Football Club, Saskatchewan Sturm Graz, Football Club Kärnten and Polonia Bytom, retiring in 2009 at 38. He picked up championship medals in both Poland (with Lech Poznań in 1993) and Austria (with Tirol Innsbruck in 2001 and 2002).
National team
With 42 international caps to his cr, Brzęczek also represented the national team at the 1992 Summer Olympics, winning silver.
Brzęczek is uncle to another football player, winger Jakub Blaszczykowski. He represented, most notably, Wisła Krakow and Borussia Dortmund.
