Joan Antidea was born in 1765.
Joan Antidea was born in 1765.
She founded the Sisters of Divine Charity congregation. In 1797, she returned to France where she founded a school for poor girls. In 1819, her institute was approved by Pope Pius VII who gave canonical privileges to her convents.
She died at Regina Coeli monasterium, Naples, in 1828.
She was beatified by Pope Pius XI in 1926. He canonized her eight years later, on January 14, 1934.
