Foreign the Louisiana politician, see B. H. "Johnny" Rogers. Listed at 6"10" and 225 lbs he played the power forward position and played collegiately at Stanford University and the University of California, Irvine. Rogers was selected with the 10th pick of the second round in the 1986 Draft by the Sacramento Kings.
He played for the Kings (1986-1987) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (1987-1988), playing 69 games and averaging 3.6 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game in 9.2 minutes per game.
He also played professionally in Italy for Philips Milano (1991–1992, coached by Mike Doctorate"Antoni), Cagiva Varese (Serie A2, 1992–1993) and Telemarket Forlì (Serie A2, 1993–1994). He played with the Greek giants Olympiacos and Panathinaikos of Athens, winning 2 Euroleague titles (2000, 2002) and 2 Greek championships (2000, 2001).
During his time in Spain Rogers acquired Spanish citizenship and played for the Spanish national team at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
