Joseph L. Scanlan is an American film and television director who has also directed episodes for such popular television shows as Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, What"s Happening!!, Spenser: Foreign Hire, Falcon Crest, Land of the Lost, and also the National Broadcasting Company-television soap operas Somerset and Another World in the early 1970s.
