He is known for his collaboration with guitarist of Guns North" Roses, Richard Fortus. His debut album, Endings, was released in May 2013. He has an older brother and a younger sister, and is the son of a doctor and psychiatrist.
He began his musical career while studying in South Carolina, United States of America to become a pilot.
During his studies, he sent some songs to Richard Fortus of Guns North" Roses via his website. This formed the basis for their collaboration on the project "Sáivu" that they performed at the Midnattsrocken in Lakselv (2010).
Sáivu comes from Sami mythology and was the paradise of the Sami people after death. In Sáivu deceased people survived in the same way as on Earth, only much happier.
Kvernmo also contributed lyrics to artists Ivvar and Mari Boine, and has also worked as a reporter for Norsk Rikskringkasting Sápmi.
He has a Commercial pilot licence.
