He won his pro card by winning the overall title at the 2012 Amateur Olympia in Kuwait City, just three years after he started training. By 2011 he was up to 200lbs and when he stepped on the 2012 Amateur Olympia stage, he weighed in at 286 lbs, was declared the champion. And the world met the man known as "Big Ramy." In 2013, Ramy made his IFBB Pro debut at the New York Pro where he won the contest and the applause of the tough New York crowd.
