Career
Mainly a central defender, he can also play as a defensive midfielder. Born in Les Escaldes, Escaldes-Engordany, Vales began playing football with local UE Sant Julià. He moved to Spain in 2007, played for clubs from the lower leagues — Civil Engineering Sabadell B, Ibiza-Eivissa B, Civil Defense Binéfar, Atlético Monzón.
He joined Real Madrid C from Civil Defense Atlético Baleares on a free transfer in July 2012.
He made his debut on 23 September 2012 in a 2–1 league defeat against Atlético Madrid B, coming off at half time. He signed for Real Zaragoza Bachelor in July 2014.
One year later, Vales signed for Civil Engineering L"Hospitalet. International Vales had also represented Andorra at youth level, playing for the under-17, under-19, and under-21 national teams.
He made his international debut for the Andorra national football team in 2008.
