She had already been working voluntarily since 2002 for the 2004 Summer Olympics, while she was chosen after winning her title as one of the celebrities to take part in the Olympic Flame torch relay which finished in Greece.
In 1985 her family moved to Athens. Chrousala has a degree from the University of Athens in Mass Media and Communication. She is working on a master"s degree in Psychology of Communication.

She is the main host of the morning game show "I Ellada Pezei" (Greek: Η Ελλάδα παίζει). On 5 June 2010, Chrousala married Leon Patitsas, the British-born Chief Executive Officer of Atlas Maritime.
Her wedding party, which took place aboard the Greek armored cruiser Georgios Averof, a famous war memorial, caused an uproar, especially when photos of the party surfaced in the media showing celebrities dancing on the floors of the ship and Navy officials taking part in the celebration, particularly in contrast with the economic crisis of 2010.
