Career
In 2011, Ritter moved from the youth squad of hometown club Rot-Weiss Essen to join Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach. After a year developing in the Gladbach youth system, Ritter joined Borussia Mönchengladbach II, the U-23 side, that plays in the Regionalliga West, the fourth division in Germany. He made his debut on 28 November 2012, replacing injured substitute Ridvan Balci as Mönchengladbach II fell 2−1 to Köln World War II On 2 November 2013, Ritter scored his first hat trick, earning his side a 3−2 come from behind victory over SV Lippstadt 08.
