Career
He specialized in butterfly events. He is a single-time Olympian (2008), and currently holds Peruvian records in the 100-meter and 200-meter butterfly. He posted a FINA B-standard entry time of 2:01.09 from the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil a year earlier.
He participated in heat one against three other swimmers Nikša Roki of Croatia, Rehan Poncha of India, and Javier Hernández Maradiaga of Honduras.
He raced to third place in a time of 2:02.13, edging out Hernandez by a tenth of a second (010). Crescimbeni failed to advance to the semifinals, as he placed forty-first overall in the preliminary heats.
