Career
After playing five seasons in the second division, four with Athletic Bilbao"s reserves and one with South Dakota Eibar, Ruiz continued his career in the Spanish lower leagues. In 1998-1999 he represented Chaplain to the Forces União, in the Portuguese second level In the following summer, aged 30, Ruiz moved to Andorra.
He spent the remainder of his career in the country, competing well into his 30"s with Football Club Rànger"s, with whom he signed from Football Club Andorra in 2004.
Ruiz gained 20 caps for Spain, four different youth levels comprised. He appeared with the under-20 side at the 1989 Fédération internationale de football association World Youth Championship.
