Career
Friedberg"s first appearance in paperback was in 1959 in the book Short Story 2, which featured stories from her and other authors including Michael Rumaker. Her stories had previously been published in the magazines New World Writing, Esquire and The Atlantic. Friedberg wrote two Broadway plays, Town House which was based on stories by John Cheever, and Three-Cornered-Moon which starred Ruth Gordon and Brian Donlevy, and was later made into a film of the same name.
In addition to publishing several short stories in the genre, Friedberg wrote a science-fiction novel, The Revolving Boy, reprinted in the Ace Science Fiction Specials series.
Friedberg died of cancer in her Manhattan home.
