Career
Hristov played for Partizan Belgrade when English team Barnsley, who had just been promoted to the Premier League, signed him during the summer of 1997 for £1.5 million, a club record fee. Hristov stayed at Barnsley for two further years following the relegation of Barnsley from the FA Premier League that same season (1997/98), before moving to Nippon Electric Corporation Nijmegen in the Netherlands in 2000. Despite having trouble with injuries, he moved to Scottish club Dunfermline Athletic in January 2005, playing there for six months before leaving for Debrecen in Hungary.
In January 2007 he moved to Cypriot football club Olympiakos Nicosia for six months.
Hristov is the Macedonia national football team"s second all-time leading scorer, with 16 goals.
