El teniente Corson odiaba la guerra. Pero no so le había dado otra posibilidad que la de luchar: cuando uno nace en un tiempo dominado por la guerra, debe hacer la guerra, aunque le repugne. Sin embargo, cuando so nave estalló y el teniente Corson se vio proyectado junto con el temible Monstruo a las junglas de Uria, el planeta enemigo, se halló de repente ante la posibilidad de cambiar su dentino y el de milliones de seres, ante la posibilidad de trocar una guerra fratricida por una paz de más de seiscientos años. Y así inició su fantástico periplo a través del tiempo: visitó el planeta-mausoleo, conoció Aergistal, el infierno donde todas las batallas se libraban a la vez, oyó la voz de los dioses, y supo que tenía que volver sobre sus pasos y rehacer la historia para preservar un segmento de realidad que debia conducir hasta el fin de los tiempos, ganando así los más preciados dones del universo: la paz, y quizá también la inmortalidad...

He is the editor of the prestigious science fiction series Ailleurs et Demain published by Robert Laffont and of the Le Livre de poche science-fiction imprint. In his novella Les virus ne parlent pas ("The viruses do not speak"), he imagines that viruses have created all living beings in the same fashion that human beings have created computers, and for the same reason: to improve their efficiency. Gérard Klein used the pseudonym "Gilles d"Argyre" for his novels published by Editions Fleuve Noir for their series Anticipation.
Several of his novels were published in translation by DAW Books in the United States.
