Career
He served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag during the terms 1950–1953, 1954–1957, 1958–1961, 1961–1965 and 1965–1969. From 1958 to 1959 he served as a regular representative meanwhile Gustav Sjaastad was appointed to the third cabinet Gerhardsen, as well as from 1963 to 1965 meanwhile Leif Granli was appointed to the fourth cabinet Gerhardsen. Outside politics he worked as a fisher and farmer.
