Career
Born in Lørenskog in Akershus county, Kristoffersen specializes in the technical events of slalom and giant slalom. He is the Norwegian with most Slalom FIS World Cup wins of all time. Kristofferson tied Finn Christian Jagge with six wins 18 January 2016.
With three races still awaiting for the 2016 season Kristoffersen is stil able to tie, or surpass the all-time record with seven slalom race wins in a single season held by Ingemar Stenmark (1977) together with Marc Girardelli (1985) and Alberto Tomba (1995).
