Himanshu Sharma is a noted Indian screenwriter, who works in Bollywood.
Background
Himanshu Sharma was born to Jiwan Sharma, a United Presbyterian Tourism officer and Shama Sharma in Lucknow, he did his schooling from Spring Dale College, Lucknow and later moved to Kirori Mal College, Delhi for higher education, where he started taking part in theatre.
Career
He is most known as the writer of the Tanu Weds Manu series (2011 & 2015) & Raanjhanaa(2013), all these 3 movies were highly successful, his writing in all his movies were praised. In an Interview with a television channel he revealed that he want to be an Institute for Advanced Study during college days. He started his career with NDTV as script writer for a health show.
Subsequently, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his career in serials and movies.
He wrote script for many television serials like Kkusum on Sony television and Bhootwala serial from SAB television Himanshu sharma is also part of Colour yellow picture company which co-produce Raanjhanaa & Tanu Weds Manu: Returns In an interview with television channel he stated that he is soon going to Debut as Director.
