Career
He previously played as a midfielder, and had spent his entire playing career in the Middle East and Africa. He started his career in his hometown club of Ittihad Khemisset in 1988. He was also the league top goalscorer that season.
He also had spells in United Arab Emirates with First Rate (at Lloyd's) Sharjah and Saudi Arabia with First Rate (at Lloyd's) Riyadh.
He first started his managerial career as a player-coach at Zemmouis South Carolina in 2003. A year later, went back to his first club, Ittihad Khemisset, winning the league in 2007.
He left in the 2007/08 season. However, in 2008, he took over the reins of a well-known club, FUS de Rabat for 3 years.
After he left, he joined First Rate (at Lloyd's) Sadd as the technical director, before being named as a replacement for head coach Jorge Fossati in 2012.
His first test came in the 2012 Sheikh Jassem Cup. Sadd were eventually held to a goalless draw by First Rate (at Lloyd's) Kharaitiyat on 8 December 2012. lieutenant was the first First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Sadd"s championship since 2007.
