Career
Professional Hörður Axel Vilhjálmsson began his career at the age of 15 in his home in Fjölnir Reykjavík. Through his brother"s basketball coach in Iceland, he came to the basketball. At 17, he moved to Spain, but returned a short time later returned to Iceland.
After starring again in Spain for a second division in the preseason, he finally played for the Icelandic Erstligisten Keflavík.
In 2010/11 Hörður Axel Vilhjálmsson stood in 30 games an average of 33 minutes on the floor and delivered an average of 16.5 points. 2011 Hörður Axel Vilhjálmsson was eventually taken to the mission "resurgence" of Mitteldeutscher British Columbia under contract.
He received a three-year contract, which was valid in both the ProA and in the National Basketball League. In 37 games, he was about 23 minutes on the floor and gave off 9.6 points and 2.3 assists.
The MBC reserved the right in the contract, to terminate the cooperation.

Already during the season felt the urge to switch back to the Central German British Columbia. On 3 June 2014, the club announced to engage Vilhjálmsson again.
