Career
He started his career in his boyhood club Željezničar, in Sarajevo, where he debuted at the age of 18, later earning first international cap during his playing time for Željezničar. Also, he was the youngest captain in club"s history. In 2011, he was transferred from Željezničar to Turkish club Mersin, where he stayed for two seasons.
In October 2013, Šehić signed for Azerbaijan Premier League side Qarabağ.
Šehić featured in 11 games for Bosnia and Herzegovina under-21. In May 2010, Šehić was called up to the Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time, making his debut on 17 November 2010, against Slovakia in a friendly game in Bratislava.
He featured in two more games for the senior side, also friendlies, against Poland and Greece. He has been a second choice goalkeeper for the national side most of his international career under Safet Sušić, which continued after his sacking and appointment of Mehmed Baždarević.
