Career
Iliev began his professional career with Partizan during the 1997-1998 season. In July 2004, Iliev moved to Serie A club Messina. In January 2006, he joined Genoa of Serie C1 in join-ownership bid and helped them to promotion to the Serie B, scoring a goal in a promotion playoff final first leg match against Monza.
Then he returned to Messina for the 2006-2007 season.
In summer 2007, Iliev transferred to PAOK with one-year contract. He spent the 2008-2009 season with Energie Cottbus, making 27 league appearances and scoring three goals in the Bundesliga, but left the club after a loss in a relegation play-off to 1.
Football Club Nürnberg. At the end of the 2009 summer transfer window, Iliev joined Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv on a one-year deal.
He immediately established himself as one of the leading players in the team However, he picked up an injury in January 2010, which ruled him out of play until the end of the season.
On 21 July 2010, he signed a one-year contract with Partizan. He re-debuted for the club on 28 July in a match against Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi, scoring in the process.
Iliev was also selected to the SuperLiga Team of the Season.
On 10 June 2011, Iliev joined Polish Ekstraklasa champions Wisła Krakow on a free transfer from Partizan. He signed a two-year deal. Iliev represented Yugoslavia at youth level, playing in the Union of European Football Associations under-16, under-18 and under-21 competition matches.
He debuted for the Serbia and Montenegro national team against Germany in a friendly match on 30 April 2003.
He scored in his second match against Poland, a friendly game played the same year on 16 November. International goals.
