Career
He played college football at the University of Cincinnati after playing football at Akron"s Ellet High School. In 1960, he was the first-round draft choice of the American Football League"s Houston Oilers, where he backed up George Blanda in the Oilers" 1960 and 1961 American Federation of Labor-Congress Championship seasons, and Len Dawson in the Kansas City Chiefs" 1969 American Federation of Labor-Congress and World Championship season. He was one of only twenty men who played in each of the ten years of the American Federation of Labor-Congress"s existence.
Lee retired in 1969 after dislocating his shoulder.
