Career
Oxberry originally joined the British Broadcasting Corporation as a personal assistant at Radio 2, having previously auditioned for a presenting role on the youth music series Number Limits. She began her broadcasting career while working on British Broadcasting Corporation Radio 1, working alongside Steve Wright and later, becoming part of Simon Mayo"s on-air team for the weekday breakfast show. In 1991, she became a presenter for the second series of the Saturday morning children"s television programme, The 8:15 from Manchester.
After studying meteorology at the Met Office College in Berkshire, Oxberry joined British Broadcasting Corporation North West in 1995 as its first dedicated weather presenter.
Alongside her forecasting work, she has also previously co-presented the weekday breakfast show on British Broadcasting Corporation Radio Manchester (alongside Eamonn O"Neal) and has worked as a relief newsreader & presenter for North West Tonight. The couple met while working on The 8:15 from Manchester.
