Career
He played as a holding midfielder or playmaker. He played for PFC CSKA Moscow and Football Club Lokomotiv Moscow in native Russia, having abroad spells with PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Real Sociedad (Spain). During his time with Football Club Lokomotiv Moscow he participated in their memorable 2003-2004 Union of European Football Associations Champions League campaign, scoring third goal in the 3–0 home victory against Internazionale.
