Career

Kolodin was born in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union. He began playing football with Football Club Metalurh Zaporizhya"s youth side, and would eventually play professional football for the club from 1996 to 1999. He also played in the Ukrainian Premier League for Football Club Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih and in the Belarusian Premier League with Football Club Lokomotiv Vitebsk and Football Club Smorgon.
