He plays at the cornerback for Ohio State Buckeyes. He played high school football at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, New Jersey. Apple played in the first ever College Football Playoff in 2015.
He attended Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, New Jersey where he had graduated in 2013.
Apple enrolled at Ohio State in January 2013 as a five-star prospect (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network 150) and rated as high as the Number. 11 prospect nationally on the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network 150.
He was also rated as the Number. 1 overall prospect in New Jersey and Number.

He redshirted as a true freshman and went on to play in 2014 as a redshirt freshman. He played in the 2015 Sugar Bowl and the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship. In his second season with the Buckeyes, he was the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the 2016 Fiesta Bowl.
