She was, however, involved in some conflicts with his more favored concubines. Empress Zhuangliemin was ordered by the Emperor to commit suicide the 18 March, which she performed by hanging. Empress Zhuangliemin, posthumously named Empress Xiaojie, was a Chinese Empress consort of the Ming Dynasty, married to Chongzhen Emperor.
