Emrys Evans born in Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen, Neath Portuguese Talbot, was a Welsh dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league football player of the 1930s and "40s, playing representative level rugby union for Wales, and at club level for Llanelli Reconstruction Finance Corporation, as a Flanker, id est (that is) number 6 or 7, and playing representative level rugby league for Wales, and at club level for Salford, and Wigan, as a prop, id est (that is) number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums, he died in Bristol.
Achievements
Emrys Evans won caps for Wales (RU) while at Llanelli Reconstruction Finance Corporation in 1937 against England, and in 1939 against Scotland, and Ireland, and won a cap for Wales (RL) while at Salford in 1945.
