Friedrich Freiherr von Broich was a German career military officer and panzer commander in World World War World War II

Career

On 12 May 1943, Von Broich was captured by the British Army along with the remnants of the 10th Panzer Division in Tunisia. While detained at Trent Park, on 1 June 1943, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant-general, backdated to 1 May 1943. He was repatriated to Germany on 7 October 1947.
