Domö was the first vice party leader 1935–1944, and party leader of the Moderate Party 1944–1950, a minister of the Hansson IIIs cabinet 1939–1945 commerce minister 1939–1941 and communication minister 1944–1945. He was the governor of Skaraborgs municipality between 1951 and 1956. In 1913 he owned his own farmouse, in Åsen outside of Jönköping and from 1918 in Domö.
