She swam for Canada at the 2008 Olympics. She currently holds the 200-metre freestyle (short-course and long-course) Canadian national record. She has swum for Canada at: 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships 2009 World Aquatics Championships 2008 Olympics 2007 World Championships 2006 Pan Pacs 2006 As of 2008, Saumur is studying at Ahuntsic CEGEP.
