Career
He was the son of Joseph Enos and Thankful (Coon) Enos. In 1814, they settled in DeRuyter, New New York He was a member from Madison County of the New York State Assembly in 1834, 1839 and 1840. He was Supervisor of the Town of DeRuyter in 1837.
In 1842, he was elected by the New York State Legislature a canal commissioner.
