Gjurev played professional club football in Germany, Belgium and Cyprus for Football Club 08 Homburg, Genk and Ethnikos Achna. He also earned three caps for the Cypriot national side between 2000 and 2002. Gjurev managed Ethnikos Achna from March 28, 2015 to November 23 of the same year.
