Background
The daughter of film director Piers Haggard and his wife Anna Slovsky, she was raised and educated in Dulwich, South London at the James Allen"s Girls" School. Haggard"s television acting debut occurred in a 1996 episode of Independent Television"s Ruth Rendell Mysteries directed by her father.

Career
Her grandfather was the actor Stephen Haggard and her great-great-great-uncle was the author H. Rider Haggard. She appeared in the British Broadcasting Corporation Three sketch show Manitoba Stroke Woman, and in the Channel 4 sitcom Green Wing as Emmy. She also made a brief appearance in an episode of Peep Show, playing a nurse, and in the British Broadcasting Corporation 2 comedy Psychoville by The League of Gentlemen writers Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, in the role of a pantomime actress, Debbie.
She was Emma in the BBC2 sitcom The Persuasionists.
In the 2008 adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, Haggard played the role of Mission Steele, the sister of Lucy Steele. Also in 2008, she played Donna Mitchell in Ashes to Ashes, Series 2 Episode 6.
In 2010, Haggard appeared in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Canadian Broadcasting Company) film for television, Abroad, playing Poppy Young. Haggard played Sophie in the Doctor Who episode The Lodger, a role she reprised in Closing Time in the sixth series.
She starred in the 2010 British independent film, Honeymooner and co-stars with Ben Willbond and Laura Solon in the short film Tooty"s Wedding, screened at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
In 2011, she appeared in the British Broadcasting Corporation/Showtime comedy Episodes. She also starred in Echoes of the Dead, an episode of Midsomer Murders. She also appeared in the 2011 Christmas Special of Outnumbered.
Haggard also appeared on the stage, including at the National Theatre and as the title character, Becky Shaw, in Gina Gionfriddo"s play at the Almeida Theatre.
In July 2012 Sky1 began airing the series Parents, in which Haggard plays Chrissie, the sister of the main character Jenny (played by Sally Phillips). She currently plays Sam in the British Broadcasting Corporation comedy Uncle, as well as continuing in her role as Myra on Episodes.
