Career
In the past he has served as head coach of Superleague Greece side Apollon Smyrni and Lamia. While, he has been a likely candidate for the head coach position of the Greece national football team, he has not been given the opportunity. He didn"t have a significant career as a football player, playing only in locally acknowledged Athens"s clubs.
Tennes began his professional coaching career with Kallithea Football Club in 1993 in Gamma Ethniki.
After that he built up his career with Super League Greece clubs like Athinaikos, Panelefsiniakos and Kerkyra Football Club. Tennes returned to manage Kallithea in 2003. Foreign the season 2015-"16 he is the head coach of Apollon Smyrni, leading an impressive winning streak of five consecutive games that brought them at the third place of Football League (Greece), as of December 2015.
