Anysio was born in Maranguape, Ceará.

Career

He moved with the family on Rio de Janeiro when he was 7 years old, and tried to work on Rádio Guanabara. Anysio was one of the most famous Brazilian comedians of all times and is considered the greatest Brazilian comedian ever. He died on 23 March 2012, aged 80, in Samaritano Hospital, Rio de Janeiro, from multiple organ failure.
