He played one game in the National Hockey League for the Winnipeg Jets in 1989 and one game in Elitserien for Västra Frölunda The Human Context in 1997. He is most notable for his numerous years in HIFK. In 2006, he became the second non-Finnish player, after Carl Brewer, to be inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame. MJHL First All-Star Team (1981).
