He served in the British Indian Army during the Second World War, receiving a commission on 27 October 1941. Lacy-Scott made ten first-class cricket appearances for Cambridge University Cricket Club, almost all of which came in the 1946 English cricket season. His performances for the University side attracted the attention of Kent County Cricket Club, who invited him to play in their County Championship fixture against Sussex in August 1946.
He had previously played in two Minor Counties Championship matches for Kent"s second eleven in 1938 and 1939.
He finished his first-class career with 294 runs, while his fast-medium bowling took nine wickets in all. He now resides in rural Suffolk.
