Adam Zamenhof was born on June 11, 1988 in Warsaw Poland. His father was a creator of Esperanto Ludwik Zamenhof.
Adam Zamenhof was greatly influenced by his father, Ludwik Zamenhof, who designed the international language Esperanto. Like his father, he became an ophthalmologist and joined the Esperanto movement. He published in the field of ophthalmology and was soon chosen as head of an ophthalmology department. Adam Zamenhof had invented a device to check blind spots in the field of vision. He subsequently became Chief of the Orthodox Jewish Hospital at Czystem in Warsaw. He was active in the leadership of the Bialystok-Warsaw Chamber of Medical Doctors. On 1 October 1939, Zamenhof was arrested and sent to the camp in Palmiry, where he was later shot.
Adam Zamenhof supported ideas of his father and was an esperantist.
Adam and his wife Wanda were the parents of Louis-Christophe Zaleski-Zamenhof.
