She was born Adreana Braun in Toronto but spent most of her childhood in Germany.

She studied classical music at the University of Toronto and performed for several years as a classical singer, most notably with the Canadian Opera Company and Opera Atelier.
Her parents were opera singers Victor Braun (1935–2001) and Eraine Braun. She began studying piano at the age of six. She has a degree in vocal music from University of Toronto.
In 2000 Braun began moving "sideways" and back to her first love of popular music
Since then she has been active on the Canadian scene as well as in the United States. and Europe as a jazz/cabaret singer. She has recorded four CDs: "Delishious"(2003).
"The Rules of the Game" (2005). "Live at the Metropolitan Room"(2008) and "Canadian Scenes I" (2010) - all of which are on her own label "Blue Rider Records".
